Development

In May of 2006, the Office of Development was established, to identify sources of support for the school. The Director of Development, in conjunction with the administration, the school board and the faculty, is committed to developing relationships with all of our constituencies. Our Angels in the Community program, a unique program launched in December of 2007, seeks to partner with local businesses in support of the school in exchange for advertising and marketing opportunities. To date, fifteen local businesses have participated in this program raising more than $50,000 in unrestricted funding for the school.
Our development efforts have also focused on obtaining corporate and foundation grants. To date, more than $50,000 has been raised in support of our Marian program, a program for students with learning differences as well as funding for other programs, including our cutting edge technology program.
Why give to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School?

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School is a place where excellence is expected and achieved and our Catholic Faith is taught and lived. Our school serves as a special place to learn, work and grow. In October of 2009, OLPH School was recognized as an outstanding school example of civility in Howard County receiving the first “Civility Award”.

Our values-based academic program promotes a positive learning environment where students are challenged and encouraged to reach their full potential. Through a variety of faith, academic and extra-curricular experiences, we emphasize the total development of our students. Our students consistently achieve high test scores on national standardized tests and from year to year almost al l of our students are accepted into their first choice Catholic high school. We are proud of our students who have been recognized as Carson Scholars, Knott Scholars and Distinguished Scholars as well.

Unfortunately, tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating our students, retaining our faculty and maintaining our school buildings. Please support our efforts to keep tuition as affordable as possible so that all children who seek a Catholic education may be served and our excellent level of education not only maintained but continued throughout future generations.

There are many ways in which to support Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. First and foremost is the gift of your time and talents. Here at OLPH School we are blessed with an outpouring of support through the participation of our parents and grandparents in the daily life of the school. Their gifts of time and talent are critical to the success of our school and we appreciate their service and thank them for their dedication. These gifts of time and talent, along with gifts of treasure, help us to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and operational costs and allow us to continue our excellent level of education.
